Question 1

What does Shinglewake do for a roofing contractor?

Accepted Answer

Shinglewake helps independent U.S. roofing contractors work the leads already in their pipeline, including missed calls, website inquiries, and older quotes. It organizes follow-up and estimate booking so the next step is clear to the team.

Question 2

How does it follow up and help qualify a lead?

Accepted Answer

Contractors can use planned email or SMS follow-up sequences with eligible leads. The inbox keeps conversation and job context together; your team can record roofing need, property context, urgency, and qualification status. An optional draft summary organizes signals for review. From there, continue the conversation, offer an available estimate time, or take over.

Question 3

How can a prospect book a roofing estimate?

Accepted Answer

A contractor publishes available estimate windows, and a prospect chooses an open time and enters their contact details. Booking requires explicit consent to receive follow-up about the estimate, and the selected time is checked against current availability. If no times are published, booking is unavailable.

Question 4

Are SMS and email ready to send when I sign up?

Accepted Answer

Shinglewake includes SMS and email follow-up options, but a channel in the workflow does not mean its provider is active. Messages require approved provider credentials and configuration, plus documented, timestamped consent that has been reviewed. Opt-outs are excluded from follow-up. SMS delivery remains unavailable until an approved SMS transport is configured.

Question 5

When should a contractor or team member take over?

Accepted Answer

Use the inbox takeover when a homeowner needs a specific answer, nuance, or human judgment. Takeover pauses automated follow-up and makes a person responsible for the next response.
